I can see ratings for every article, what do those ratings refer to?

We look at customer reviews on several platforms, like Amazon, Booking, TripAdvisor, GoodReads, Barnes & Noble, etc. and we aggregate the customer review ratings of those platforms. We then take the average of all those ratings and that’s the number you can see on our website. So you can be sure that you will buy a good product or book a good hotel as we only list products or hotels that have at least a rating of 4 out of 5 stars from all those customer review ratings.

The listed prices don’t seem to be correct?

We take the listed price on Amazon, Booking, etc. when we add the article to our website. Obviously these prices change over time. As such the listed prices on our website should be taken as an indication and not the accurate current live price. The listed prices for hotels are the starting prices listed on Booking.com or Hotels.com, these are obviously dependent on the dates you select, the room size you choose, etc. and therefore you will probably have to pay a bit more when booking the room.

How do we earn money?

We earn money through affiliate deals we have with platforms like Amazon, Booking.com, Hotels.com and many more. When you click on a Buy Now of Book Now link on our website and make a purchase or booking on a partner site, then we receive a commission (a percentage of your purchase price).

These affiliate deals don’t have an influence on our ranking as we don’t have an interest in ranking one book, hotel or other product higher than another one. Per default the articles are listed by the number of recommendations a product has received and you can change this ranking by choosing Latest, Price (low to high) or Rating in the drop down menu at the top of the page. You can also just select recommendations from certain publishers you prefer by selecting a publisher in the ‘Show only’ drop down menu at the top of the page.
