“There’s a lot to like about this in spite of a few flaws. Sony’s Xperia XZ2 has an elegant all-glass design and delivers outstanding performance. However, none of its unique features are very exciting.”
“Sony has given us a well-rounded smartphone that does everything well, but it doesn’t really excite. For the price we’d expect something showstopping – and while it does nothing badly, when you’re paying top dollar you want something you can show off to your friends.”
“We waited so long for Sony to bring a new design and although the firm has switched to an 18:9 screen, we’re miffed by the chunky and heavy design that has a fingerprint scanner and power button in awkward places.”
“A fresh new design, lots of power and a great display lead the charge. But the camera experience feels muddled, while the battery life isn’t that great.”
“I really wanted this phone to be a true, worthy alternative to the hugely prevalent iPhones and Galaxy S-series phones. Perhaps it would have been, had Sony priced it lower than it did, but as it is, the Xperia XZ2 stands a step behind its rivals.”
