PC Mag review:

“Good value. Loud speakers. Dual-band Wi-Fi. Very easy to use. Amazon’s latest Fire HD 8 tablet is a great value for media consumption, as long as you can live without access to Google Play.”

Pocket Lint review:

“Whether you’re a globetrotter or a looking for an travel tablet or something to entertain your child with loads of controls, the Fire HD 8 is well worth considering, because at this price, there’s very little that comes close.”

CNET review:

“The latest Fire HD 8 delivers faster performance, a bigger battery and more base storage than the previous version for almost half the price. Its 8-inch screen is bright, the speakers are loud and it offers expandable microSD storage and ample parental controls. Despite some small drawbacks, you just won’t find a tablet with these features and performance at this price.”

Wired review:

“An ideal size for a lot of tablet uses. The $80 price is outstanding. The battery lasts a long time. MicroSD card slot lets you add extra storage for cheap. The hardware is passable, but far from attractive or speedy.”
