Pop-up Shakespeare: Every Play and Poem in Pop-Up 3D is a pop-up book with a treasured collection of poems, sonnets, and plays of William Shakespeare. The pop-up book has been created in collaboration between renowned and best-selling illustrator Jennie Maizels and world-famous comedy troupe the Reduced Shakespeare Company.

The Reduced Shakespeare Company has made two television specials, several radio pieces and stage shows, enacted, viewed and heard all over the globe. The company has conducted various tours and performances in Australia, Bermuda, Europe, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Malta, New Zealand, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Jennie Maizels is known for her non-fiction works for children such as The Terrific Times Tables Book, Pop-up London, and Pop-up New York. She studied illustration at Central Saint Martin’s School of Art and Design in London.

The pop-up book features five interactive pages replete with foldouts, pop-ups, commentaries, and summaries. The pop-up book is a great hors-d’oeuvre to the works of the greatest playwright of the world.

The pop-up book divides William Shakespeare’s plays into several categories over a double page:

Comedies – A Midsummers Night’s Dream, All’s Well that Ends Well, As You Like It, Measure for Measure, Much Ado About Nothing, Love’s Labour’s Lost, etc.

Tragedies – Antony and Cleopatra, Coriolanus, Hamlet, Julius Caesar, King Lear, Macbeth, Othello, Romeo and Juliet, Timon of Athens, and Titus Andronicus.

Romances – Cymbeline, Pericles, Prince of Tyne, Missing Gardenio, The Two Noble Kinsmen, The Winter’s Tale, The Tempest

Histories – Henry IV, Henry V, Henry VI, Henry VIII, Richard II, Richard III, and King John.
