“Clink is a designer hostel chain with other branches in London, and in Amsterdam occupies a 1920s laboratory on the IJ riverbank, by the ferry terminal – a free, five-minute ferry ride from Centraal Station (ferries run 24/7).”
This hotel typifies the Amsterdam hotel; hospitality at its best. Located in the northern part of the city, and some few minutes from the back of the back of the Amsterdam Central Station making it very accessible. The hostel is so accessible you can reach the premises in less than five minutes on foot after taking the free ferry across the IJ River.
The hostel is a mixture of modern Dutch-style and traditional Dutch design offering a friendly atmosphere. The traditional Dutch design is very obvious in the 1930’s laboratory building which is still retained in the present hostel. One of the interesting features of the old laboratory is the stained glass window which creates a rather impressive and exciting to view.
The hostel offers a restaurant, a bar/lounge area designed to keep guest relaxed and refreshed, a coffee café for some early morning refreshment, a common area, meeting rooms and a library/work space so guests have a place to stay in touch with their work or business. Available in the common area are microwave and a refrigerator.
The hostel has dormitories of 4 to 14 beds which includes some girls’ only dormitories and private rooms. Most of the dorms in the hostel are en-suite and also contain lockers which are big enough to keep your hand luggage.
At the ClinkNOORD, you can’t be bored. Every night, there is always an event such as solo traveler meetups, cocktail-making workshop, live music and also a number of DJ sets. Any event night in the hostel is the perfect place for you to meet new people of different origin, culture, language and story.
